Studying Anthropology at Durham University gave me an excellent grounding in research skills. I have since applied this across numerous and diverse projects.

Research

I can offer broad and rapid desk survey and face to face research to get the data and insights you need to decide and take action. With extensive experience in various industry sectors, I have conducted research, surveys, focus groups and 1:1 interviews to develop deep actionable insights on important topics and changes. Along with a strong attention to detail, I have helped organisations establish a solid argument to support their projects.

Case Studies

MTR- Stakeholder Coordinator, West Coast Partnership Bid

During my role as Stakeholder Coordinator, I both researched stakeholders (circa 120 separate organisations and individuals) and then used this research to schedule meetings. The aim was to gain input from stakeholders and, by compiling findings and sharing them with relevant bid workstreams, this enabled bid ideas to be evidenced.

Strategic-Lines

For Strategic-Lines, I engaged in global research into bid opportunities and completed competitor stakeholder analysis in aid of building a consultancy team. The objective here was to see if there was scope and work for a new bid management team, and resulted in creating a group of specialised consultants with a collective aim that could cover industry wide projects.

Transport for Britain- Strategic Engagement Consultant

I undertook extensive industry research in order to identify transport issues, create solutions, and to support the creation of creative content and stakeholder communications. Further work was undertaken to source a suitable organisation to carry out a feasibility study on strategic infrastructure proposals, the result of which was used to support and plan for company marketing initiatives.

“As an  executive chair dealing with failing schools and deep rooted problems I needed someone who could systematically and sensitively research complex and difficult issues. Lucy-Jane’s ability to highlight key issues and often difficult to see aspects within the data was invaluable. ”

— DR TRISH TAYLOR, FORMER EXECUTIVE CHAIR, NORTHUMBERLAND
